Christian Peau

Christian Peau is a Japanese line based in Kobe, Japan. A design intended to bridge the gap between avant-garde and handcrafted production. Unlike many avant-garde Japanese designers that have emerged in recent years, Christian Peau’s design has a much more European aesthetic. Its influence lies in the tradition of the European artisans of the first ‘800 true masters in their craft. Drawing on the traditional production of shoes and leather crafts, Christian Peau reinvents avant-garde antiques in a modern pursuit of beauty.
